How does the mind work? In my cognitive science degree program I study human behavior and intelligence, with a focus on how information is perceived, processed and transformed. My computational emphasis has additionally provided me the opportunity to learn about topics in computer science, which has given me a greater understanding of programming and technical feasibility in developing products.
Minor in Geographic Studies
I am also pursuing a geographic studies minor due to my interest in learning more about the interaction between people and the environment. Through the classes that I've taken, I have been encouraged to examine and reflect on how people shape and are shaped by places.

The following courses have furthered my understanding of how people perceive information and make judgements to guide decision-making. These classes have taught me about topics relevant to product design such as perception, attention, reasoning, and cognitive load.
• Introduction to Cognitive Science
• Cognitive Psychology
• Minds, Brains, and Computers
• Perception
• Neuroeconomics and Decisions
• Logic, Probability, and Artificial Intelligence
